Other Bikes / 1920's Raleigh« on: March 30, 2026, 06:12:36 PM »
Finally got my hands on the heirloom Raleigh, far too late for my liking as its been carelessly stored against my advice in a damp shed. Its circa 1924, possibly a model 2 or 5, sadly when my great uncle had it it was in pretty decent condition with no signs of rust and good nickel plating. Im in a quandary as to what to do with it but for now I will give it a good clean and spray it liberally in acf50

I had a bad experience doing mine with 2k promax, followed the instructions and did it mid summer but it hasn't hardened and definitely isnt fuel proof

It's a shame as they seem to have been good once going by recommendations on here but I had similar experiences both times I've ordered
