I have a set of 500 exhausts
Genuine Honda
Not perfect by any means,
Brackets included
They have been on the bike a number of years
Swopped for Delkovik set
Very little corrosion,
Needs a good clean
I did have some interest before Christmas, but have mislaid the contact details

Met an old friend tonight,
Turns out he is looking for a late 60's early 70s sohc,
Anything from an early 250 to a 500/4,
He can do some work, but he told me he is willing to pay for a decent bike,
Anything about?
I suggested he joined the group

hi all
as the title suggests, the CB500 has charging issues,
at about 4,000rpm it produces a low charge,if I put the lights on,there is no increase,
I have checked the 3 yellow wires, all link to each other,
some time ago I fitted a RR24 combined regulator/rectifier,
could that have gone??
any ideas of what to test for?
thanks

as the title says,I want to explore Scotland,
as I live in the west mid lands, its will involve a ride north,
my general plan is,
ride north, use the M6 to get past Manchester, then explore the local areas,
I amexpecting to ride around 300 miles a day, that can be adjusted,
so ideally a B&B north of Manc
I have a friend to stay with near Glasgow, I want to explore the islands,so info on ferries and B&B,so a nice cruise to John O'groats,
return south on the easter side,
similar into england, down as far as Lincilnshire, then home,
time is not critical, suggestions from those thatlive in the areas,
also reccomendations of places tovisit.
some thing for 2025
your help is appreciated

I have been asked if I am interested in a barn find, well it was never really lost, just put away many years ago,
And time has taken its toll,
It has drum braked model,
Pretty certain it's the twin,
Squarish shaped tank,chrome sides
What is the chance of getting parts?
I shall try to get the picture

I am have problems trying to get my 200 to run above 6K,
basically the air cleaners are unavailable, the originals were caked with dirt, although the bike ran OK,it was rich at high revs.
I tried to sort it by ripping out the card/fibre board ,replaced by foam, then the problems started,
seem to run ok below 6K,and small throttle opening,.
using standard needle,if I lift it one groove,it runs rich low down,
so I increased the MJ in various stages to 110,from 88,,but will not run at full throttle above 6k,or rev past 6k,
still seems lean,
any ideas?
I know it has a long inlet tract, how does this effect it? I suspect it is the pulses, and pressure waves to help fill the cylinder,

Can a O or X ring chain be safely fitted to the 500 series bikes,
Or are we limited to standard DID heavy duty

The only difference being I am now a member of the VMCC,
