I drove past Seaways cafe in Fridaythorpe today (on the York to Driffield road). Looks like a cracking biker cafe to stop at - if anyone is in the area, give it a try! (No piccies as I was in the Volvo taking my elderly dad for a drive).

The white one is a Citroen Mehari. Based on a 2CV. Even used by the French army as a jeep substitute.

Yes - it's a CX. The DS was it's predecessor.
I thought my XC70 was a big estate, but this is huge.
I did see a DS - a convertible model - shortly after this, but I was driving and it was tucked away in a drive so I didn't get a piccie! I might cruise past again later.
Also, and as it's near the beach, there are a number of Citroen Mehari's which I only ever seen over here.

It really is a little hair-dryer then! It looked fab though, really nicely restored.
Regarding the interesting bikes, there are also lots of cracking older and old/ restored cars..the sun must be bringing them out. This beauty was in the carpark when I pulled up to photograph the Flandria.

France just keeps on giving.. I was out for a drive today and spotted these in a local garage, and they kindly let me photograph them. The Flandria (Belgian, apparently, but a new one to me) was my pick of the bunch ...close up is of it's engine, which had a cover over the fins, which seemed to negate having cooling fins to start with!

..and today's French 'spot' is a Velox & sidecar... It's condition actually looks quite new, so could be some sort of modern-retro thingy... It has a number plate so must be road-legal (or lethal)..

Holidaying in France just now and saw this little beauty in St Nazaire. Lovely two-stroke smell when it pottered off shortly afterwards.
