Been out on the K7 first ride all good no oil leaks or a breakdown but the front brake lever needs a big squeeze to get decent braking. I'm using EBC organic fa013 pads, what do you guys recommend?
Thanks Hubert

I've just finished my 1978 us import CX500, I bought it from D and K. It's only done 2886 miles and was parked up presumably because the left hand head gasket blew which I have repaired along with the other one. I've painted it as the side panels had faded along with new decals from Image Works, new tyres , front brake rebuild and Protech rear shocks, the rev counter had a broken drive spigot as the cable was wrongly routed on the barn door fairing it had on, and yanked it on full lock. I got a nos one from eBay along with a nos fuel tap as the sealing washer had perished, bummer couldn't buy that on its own...it was a delight to work on 😃 Roll on spring and unsalted roads Hubert 👍 https://youtu.be/2LL-lijc930?si=GkdDrVlgCt5hVrLq

I'm in the Kettle Club and this J came up with 1972 miles on the clock....the guy had done a full engine rebuild with new crank seals and it runs spot on. It's ready to ride, the 4LS drum works well and I'll restore it in winter 2025.... [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Hi all
Just thought I'd ask my floats are at 22mm and it's running very rich, I have Hendler carb kits on the way as I suspect a wire has been used to clear the jets....can anyone please confirm the float height...
Thanks 😄

Hi folks
The temperature in the workshop is ten degrees and I can probably get it up to 15 with a heater, would that be ok for the vht 231d to air dry if applied in thin coats? I do have two 1 KW bodyshop infrared lamps , was thinking of using them to cure it as opposed to doing it in the oven....any ideas?

I've dusted off my GL1100 and got it running well after sorting out the carbs...there's new Hel lines to fit and a genuine exhaust I got from D&K to fit...and I'll polish the casings...Bikes have come and gone but I've held onto this one, it's been here for 30 years, love it although it's a big lump [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

I've just bought this CB500 Four...I had one in 1977 and riding this takes me back to then. Fond memories and this one doesn't disappoint ..it's got a DSS replica exhaust but apart from a repainted tank it's all original down to the oe tool kit and rubber fuse holder under the seat.

Hi folks
I've decided to start on my K7...it's an American import with some scabby engine paint and rusty frame along with a loud Delkevic four into one. The chrome is very good for its age too good to send away for redoing and the previous owner had done the paint which is well finished but slightly lighter and more purple than standard. I might just stick with it....in the next month I'm going to strip it down. I'll be posting pics as I go...
Kind regards
Shuggie

Hi Folks
I live on one of the islands and own two single cam Honda Fours. I started out with a CB500Four in 1977,Candy gold, that was a lovely bike and I did 20,000 miles on her.
I now own a CB750K4 1974 and a CB550K3 1978 both of which I have restored. I restored the K3 in 1990 and the K4 in 1998, I love both and they are both keepers.
I've just bought an American import CB750K7 which i'm going to get running over August and then strip in down in winter 2024. Its quite clean and the PO did a bit to it including the paintwork so its not a major job. It has just 10,500 miles on it . I'll start a thread when i'm doing it
Kind regards
Shuggie ( Hubert)
