Not that it happens very often in Orkney but if it’s too hot to put on the correct protection I don’t go on the bike. Just my own safety and comfort. I remember hiring a scooter and touring all over Ibiza just in t shirt and shorts with my then girl friend and who is now my wife way back in the early eighties. My advice would be don’t do it.

As I am new to ultrasonic cleaning, what does one use for cleaning fluid? Is it magic potions or just a general purpose cleaner for mostly carb parts?

So finally received stanchions back today. Packing was minimal and scruffy top nuts returned with no question of having them done, one has to try! On the plus side for £350 odd quid I got a Biscoff!!
End caps on packing tubes weren’t secure.

Nice work Dave! Really starting to look bike like! Harpic Blue? That tank does look rather corroded, it’s a brave build. Speaking to someone recently who thought classic bike values and prices were picking up a bit again? Doesn’t bother me I have no intention of selling.
