HiAll I'm rebuilding a 1971 cb125 twin and it should have 18 carbs (not literally) I have got my 20 carbs mixed up with them. I believe the 18 and 20 is the choke size in MM . where should I be measuring? is it the width through the inlet? Cheers Rich

Hi All I have a problem with my 72 500/4.Went out on it last year and everything perfect. This year turn on ignition and dead short somewhere, frustrating nightmare. Gradually disconnected areas of wiring, handlebar switches, rear light, horn regulator, etc and finally every connector in the headlight. Thought it could be solenoid so replaced that, bypassed ignition switch , still doing it . any thoughts pleeeeeeeese! Rich

Finally got the 500 pretty much finished. I bought Silvers electronic ignition as had a lot of good reports. The instructions are not brilliant but following as well as I can I can't get it to do what it is supposed to do . Am I correct the light should NOTbe on when you line up the 1/4 timing market should only come on when you rotate the back plate anti clockwise? Mine is on and doesen't go off unless you turn the crank
