On my 400/4 i did away with the front brake switch and put a stainless goodridge hose from master cylinder to caliper and it passed mot's in the eighties. i am now using it like that now but have been told this is illegal does anyone know if this is true as i was thinking of doing the same with the one i am working on now.

I've just started rebuilding a 400/4 from a few boxes of bits i bought (another money pit lol)having just finished another 400/4 which i had in the back of my garage for over 30 years.
I also have a ducati 1198s a benelli imperial 2x gs1000's a matchless 350 and a matchless 500
