Hi Ken, Glad to hear from Roo and Stacy that things are slowly improving for you. I don't know why Multiman seems worried that his Daughter is going out with a Lancastrian (I married one!) and lots of good things have come out of Lancashire - like the road back to Yorkshire to name one!
Anyway, keep up the good progress and we all look forward to seeing you back on here.
Ian

This is great news - sounds like he’s on the road to recovery.

He is, he’s quite chipper and was quite on form yesterday. I’m giving him a shout on Tuesday to see how he’s doing. I’ve sent him some funny memes to make him chuckle and cough so no doubt I’ll be getting some Yorkshire snipes when I speak to him. He’s now able to use his phone and has been reading all the replies and posts of good wishes and was quite humbled by it all. He’s a very proud chap as you know but thanks you all for all the kind words. I’ll give you an update on Tuesday if Stacey doesn’t bob summut up here first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Stacy, welcome to the forum thanks very for setting yourself up on here to keep us informed, what a great idea! Might save Roo’s fine typing finger a little. So glad to hear of the continuing improvement in your dad’s health. He has certainly been through the mill. We are all willing him on here with his continuing journey back to good health. Pass on our best to Ken and the rest of the family.

He’s deffo got a twinkle in his eyes again which was great to see, his sense of humour seems not to have been damaged too much either, casting aspersions at my superior Yorkshire qualities! I had to threat to go see him to cut him short Glad to see the silly sod on better form though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cheers for the help Dave I’ll see what about up here I. Darkest Norfolk and see if anyone can do a repair. Might be hard they all have 6 fingers up here. You’re a star for ragging that 500 round the track mate, super envious of that, what a fab day out mate. I’m deffo tempted once I become a member of the human race again. I find it an odd way to ride or drive something without rev matching going down gear ratios, quite severe downshift in this video
https://youtu.be/Z962LAhQaH8?si=q7kQRD_KElCN_TY3
In both bikes or cars, I like it to be imperceptible and smooth to change down a ratio. Is that odd ?
Only in very specific circumstances in a car, but not bike that I'd use that method to indice rear attitude to chassis.
I couldn’t watch all of that after the third downshift, that chap doesn’t know the meaning of ‘smooth’. I don’t think he’s familiar with ‘mechanical sympathy’. I’ve ridden a few bikes from most manufacturers that have quick shifters, by far the worst was on a Panzer wagon K1300, awful delay and a right clatter between the cogs, and it was new. By far the best was on a Trumpet 675 like Dom’s; seamless changes, no bangs or missed gears. Like he said, a right laugh in the twisties and especially down the box at pace into roundabouts on the dual carriageway on the A3 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ace, nice one Dave. Yes I simply don’t trust anybody anymore, especially pop up ooorly spoken English joints who promise the earth and deliver nothing. Been bitten before! I think there’s a rubber bit missing from inside the female port bit, I’m no electronic guru hence the ask. Have a bloody good time down there Dave, sounds a right hoot. This is one of the units from my collection of intercom gubbins on my helmets, I’m struggling with connectivity and after closer inspection it appears this hack point is the issue. Does anyone know of any electrical wizards who might repair this port for me? It appears the factory is on summer shut down as they do over there and heard nothing back after 3 weeks……..proper service I’ve been in contact with intercom repair folk and they say they don’t want to solder near plastic so won’t. Not sure the difference between microscopic PCB’s and that but there you go. Possibly computer repair folk but currently out in shire still and not that well equipped with internet facilities. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Cheers all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
