With the regular increases in shipping and postage costs, I was wondering if we should set up an informal members service like “VifferMail” (when I had a VFR800 and was on the VFR forum).
It worked quite well.
For example, if I had an exhaust to ship but didn’t want the hassle of packing it for a courier or paying Royal Mail, I could advertise on here for anyone in the area who heading in the general direction.
After a few steps the package ends up close to the recipient.
Thoughts?

We've had a load of new members this year (about two per week) so now's probably a good time to remind/advise about the names that show on the posts.
When you register you enter a "Username" which cannot be changed.
However, if you get fed up with the typo or stupid name that you entered (or if you change bikes like I did), you can change the "Display Name in your profile. This is what shows on the forum and is automatically set to your username when you register.
Change it in "Profile" / "Account Settings" / "Name"

Following the recent server migration, some of you may have noticed that some attachment images and avatars have gone.
I took this up with the hosting company and they admitted that they don't keep the original folders for mote than a couple of days, expecting any issues to be reported to them.
In our case, I was having so much trouble with access, Error 400s, TapaTalk etc that this time had run out by the time I got round to complaining about the missing images.
I have a backup from 2018... I know, it's the last time I did it.
I've managed to rescue a few and have uploaded them to the individual's profile, but I'm afraid that the others have gone forever.
If you are a member on the USA site, I can probably get Glenn to copy your avatar from there, otherwise I'm afraid you'll have to upload a new one.

Hi Everyone. I have recently migrated the site to a new "green" server. I think it uses solar power  However, it should be faster than the old one as it is set up to host legacy applications like this. The migration wasn't bug-free (as you probably noticed) and I'm still getting error messages. Apologies to the four new members who had to wait for approval. You should be in now. Also to Mo who has been having access problems. (Is it OK now?) Steve

I’m hoping one of you guys can help me source a load of replacement rubber washers for my son’s dining chairs.  They are 21mm OD, 15mm ID and 5mm thick. They act as shock absorbers between the trendy plastic bucket seat and the cantilevered legs. I’m assuming they need to be soft as they squeeze up between two plates.
