Hi all, after a few years standing on the side stand my 750 wont change gear to 2 and up? was working fine when it was parked up... Just wondering if the standing on the side stand has made a couple of gears `stick` together and wont allow change? it does into 1st and neutral. any ideas welcome thank you

Hi All, I need to invest in an exhaust system (mine came without one), and want to keep my bike simple and time relevant... what exhaust system was used on a late CB500 (mine was registered in Jan 1975) would it a 4 to 4, 4 to 1. or I have even seen pics of 4 to 2?

Hi All, after a good and succesful clean of the tank on my CB500, I have found a couple of pin holes..... The question is, would you mig weld them, braze, or use lead solder like they used to do on filling body pannels instead of filler years ago? these must have been there for a while as the PO had used some kind on filler on the outside which `done the job`. I dont realy like the idea of using a tank seal as many have had issues with this in the past. I will prsure test the tank to find all leaks :-)

Hi all, the clutch on my 500 is `very stiff`, I have had the clutch appart 5 times and re-assembled and still the same (checked springs and all well in tollerance, all torqued to correct values ect) adjuster works well and smooth. Cable I believe is routed correctly as per an earlier post (not mine :-)) and advised by Nurse Julie. You almost need two hands to opperate the clutch? the 750 I have is nice and easy as a comparison. cable is new (came with the bike) and runs very free. Any help/advise would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi all, I have just got a new bleed screw for my 500 front caliper and it is 7mm? it seems that this is `standard`? mine takes a 6mm. did honda make two different sizes of bleed screws?

Hi all, the set of carbs have a choke leaver that is sprung loaded, so cannot be set at any intermediate setting (either on or off), question 1) can I change any parts from a spare set of cb750F1 carbs to make them more flexible? also when looking at them the choke is closed and is opened by the leaver? this I am sure is wrong? I have tried to look at the carb drawings on CMSIL, but cannot find a set the same as mine, or at least a full drawing with choke assembly showing spring orientation, are the srings on the carbs in the wrong way somehow?

Hi all, will be re-doing the electrics soon and looking at replacing the electrical block connectors (starting at electric plate), do you have any recomendations for these? have looked at sets (on fleebay) which will include most blocks, or better to buy individualy from your recomendations? thank you in advance

Hi all, do you all use hondabond on the crankcases or any other type of sealant like Mannol 912? the price range varies by quite a bit for Hondabond? is it all genuine?

Hi all, started the strip down of the CB500 engine and so far found the stator/neutral switch contact to be broke (35732323000) CMSNI have one for £26 plus post, would you repair the tag? many thanks
