Hi
I am looking for brown coded crank bearing shells. I need 6 halves altogether. DS sell the green but not brown, CMSNL sell brown but at a high postage charge.
Is there anywhere local (UK) that have them?
Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

dm, I looked hard and long for the right bearing shells and in the end I bought 10 of what I could get and checked them against the actual measured journal diameters and the crankcase code and they were OK. I put them in, tightened them up and the engine tuns fine with no detectable play. The advice I was given was that it just isn't critical. You just can't get the exact ones that you need anyway.
I'll run mine in carefully with running in oil and whilst theoretically they may be tight I don't believe they are and running in will do what it says on the can.

Go for Black with a little graphogen and everything should be fine.

Could I just get more green to go with the new ones that I got from DS or bite the bullet on the postal charge and get the brown ones from cmsnl?
Are the green ones a tighter or looser fit?
Black shells seem very hard to track down.
Got the graphogen to hand.

green are looser and black has less clearance than brown.
