Yes will be there Saturday ..with the 'dodgy man' plus my son as it was my fathers day present from him plus he's driving and paying for the fuel. Not expecting any bargains though as its a sellers market there.

If you are going by car leave home early. I drove last year and it took 90 minutes to drive the last mile and park up and that was at 8am!
I managed to get a further discount from DS after placing a large order with him at the show. He was also offering free P&P as a show special. If you intend to go to his stall make it the first place on your list as it gets crowded by mid morning.
There's a guy outside the main hall who deals with new 400/4 bits.
Have a great time and grab some semi-bargains.

I was lucky Ash, whilst DS was serving me I was telling him how I used to buy from him when he had his lock up on the Chalk Hill estate in Wembley. As he was reminiscing I asked for a discount for old times sake! He looked at me, smiled and gave me £50 off. I had just ordered £1400 worth of parts though  :o!

Usual queue for ages getting in (5 mile traffic queue) and not much on offer for our bikes in the autojumble of any merit. It's definitely a sellers market there. Don't know why I bother going sometimes. There was a 750 sandcast on the Honda UK stand but the guy didn't have a clue about it. I asked him if it was a Vic World but he had never heard of him. Pretty sure it wasn't anyway, it wasn't up to his resto quality. I saw that CB72 and it reminded me why I sold mine in 1975 and never have had a wish to own one again. Funny because I think the CL72/77 looks really cool.

I was talking to a guy that had sneaked in to sell his CD175 sloper. He wanted 2k for it but I didn't think it was worth it but is shows how they have rocketed in value...lovely little bikes.

A 5 mile queue to get in, gez glad I didn't bother! I was going to stay overnight at the test track where I work on Thursday and Friday as I did last year but thought maybe not a good idea after last year, you have just confirmed I made the right decision!
Was the guy outside selling the new OS and pattern Honda bits, he had a lot of 400 and 750 bits last year but he's not on the Internet  :(.

Yes the Grumpy sod on the 'On All Fours' stand from Sheffield.. I bought a 500/4 headlamp ring from him today. He was moaning on to someone about DS's delivery costs. He won't give you his phone number or any contact details.... well he wouldn't give me any a few years back. He's maybe the Clint Eastwood of Honda bits ...doesn't look much like him though !

DS had loads of used/damaged items as usual at the back of his stand .there was a 500/4 pipe there and CB250K exhaust but the latter were 195 quid each and damaged so I passed on them. quite a few S90, C92/95 and CB160 second hand parts though inc tank panels with niceish chrome.

Dropped my 750K0 front DID rim off at Walkinshaws platers .. never tried him before ...will see how it pans out ...100 quid cash to rechrome.

Does Walkinshaws have a tank big enough for a Rickman frame Ash? £100 to chrome a wheel rim sounds reassuringly  expensive though!

Not sure I went to the same show yesterday. Arrived at 8.45 and virtually no waiting in traffic at all, strange. We dont go past the RAF base though as thats where all the traffic is. We join at the roundabout by the Police station then its only 1/2 mile to the show and the traffic was slow but moving..... May be my last visit to this show/car boot sale as the prices are just a joke, £8000 for this. This bike was in need of total restoration as it was more custom bike than standard.

The show has got so popular in the last few years that its now outgrown its venue. The crowds were so bad by dinner time that it was impossible to have a real look at anything.....This time we did it differently and went straight to the main hall to have a look at the show bikes. As we got there before the crowds that was a real highlight. To be honest, the rest of the show was a waste of time....Had a nice ice cream though. ;D  At this "Bike Show" one of my mates bought a long brush for cleaning upstairs windows, some shoe laces, and some stick on numbers for his wheelie bin. As I said, a car boot sale.

Ash, the guys name at  'on all fours' is John from Sheffield. I traded some CB parts with him last year, he did have an email & phone number available last year

Well said Roy. Too many shows (cars and bikes) are being hijacked by the mobile phone covers, sweets, boot Polish and the tool that does it all for £30 type traders. I couldn't get near to anything last year within an hour of arriving.
I can recommend the Kempton Park shows, worth £6 entry fee and always a great show outside in the car park with so many riders bikes to look at. Not much Japanese stuff but there are normally a few traders selling gaskets and a few nos parts so some bargains to be had.

Didn't go but agree with all comments re car boot, prices, crowds etc. Our local "farming show" at Bakewell used to be the place to go. Now its just people selling hose fittings and out of date batteries. Seems these places are more bothered about selling stall space. Stuff the quality / content.

Also grumpy git / on all fours stand.  Spoke to him twice and very blunt. How not to sell things. The "faulty towers" of the SOHC world!
