Title: Will a cb400 stand fit my 500?

I'm missing my centre stand on my 500 along with many other parts. But centre stands are quite hard to find. I spotted one on flea bay but it's off a 400.  Will it fit?

If I get time I might check the shed for a spare one, I have a cb550 swing arm to dig out too so should try to get out to that shed at some point soon. Are you going for a very authentic bike? I'm more likely to have a cb550 one that will fit but might have a different exhaust stop point and foot peg bit so might offend the purists.

550 one fits if using 4/1 exhaust but fouls if original exhaust fitted.

Yeah a 550 one would be great if you have one matthew. I'm not going 100% original. It came to me as a spares bike. So missing so many parts. So I'm slowly trying to build it back up again so anything is better than nothing.
