Hi
Can anybody show me a pic of a vin plate for a cb550 f2.
Mine has been removed by the previous owner for powder coating but I can still see the heads of the rivets where it was located behind the right hand side panel.
I have the tax book with all the info and I see plates on eBay but I want to check they have the correct information for a UK bike.
Is there any other source for these vin plates if the eBay one doesn't have the right information for a UK bike.
Thanks.

Can anybody help me out on this one.
Thanks.

Hello,
Does this image help?
I have the same issue, so I took loads of photos.
Cheers Neil

Thanks for your help Neil but I need a good clear close up to see the information stamped on the plate.
Thanks

Someone will be able to confirm, but is that a from a UK bike? The wording looks American to me.
-
It does look American but that just could be the Engrish
-
That is a plate for/from a u.s. bike, the clues being federal regs, and U.K. bikes don't state year either.

Anybody willing to show a UK one....
-
Mine is a USA one...sorry

That's what made me wonder.
It would be useful if year was shown on UK bikes, save all that faffing about trying to get a Dating Letter from Honda UK!

This is probably not going to help much but here are pics of my CB550K UK VIN[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]
