Hi all, have been looking at these, looks like a fine set and can be rebuilt. Has anyone on here used or have these on there bike?. What are they like compared to originals or hagon. Looks a good deal to me to have these and adjustable too. Not bothered by the looks if they ride good. Thanks in advance

Originals were shite, I find Hagons too hard and the rear tyre skips in tight bends. Bought loads of shocks from George (TEC) and find his shocks good but, never tried the gas ones.

It's £140 for the adjustable ones or £100 for unadjustable pair, I think that's a bargain and British also. Defo thinking about this now. Roll on next payday

I have these fitted to the 400/4, really nice quality. I'll be getting a set for the CB250RS when I get that far :P
The south of England TEC distributor attends the Kempton Park autojumbles and they are about a fiver cheaper.
They are made in Australia.

Excellent thanks, defo will get a set at end of month.

Fitted these shocks to my 750F2 and they gave really horrible handling....... Took a while to sort out what was causing the issue as the front end felt like it had an out of balance wheel....... Spent ages refitting tyres and balancing wheels and checking head races etc until in the end I decided to go backwards and refitted the old shocks, and the problem instantly disappeared........ I now have more standard shocks fitted also from TEC and all is good........ Not sure which bike your buying for, but if its on a 750F2 be sure the clearance is okay around the rear caliper hose as it gets hit and damaged by the gas reservoir.........From personal experience I wouldn't fit them again. http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,10091.msg72144.html#msg72144

Hi Roy, just read your post regarding these, I have k7. Do you know if there was a problem with them?. Not enough gas? Or Spring not stiff enough. Thinking again now, don't want the hassle of the being woolly etc. I don't have disc on rear, just drum. Fancied having adjustable ride height and damping on my bike. Will think about this now maybe save more and get ikon shocks. Any one have these?

No problem with the shocks themselves they just did not suit the bike. They were specified for that particular bike for length and spring rating etc. Never did get to the bottom of what was wrong. I have since re-used them on a Tribsa off roader after using the shock extender kit. Worked a treat there, but ruined the handling on the bike they were supposed to be for.
