Hi guys
can anybody help,my recently purchaced 78 f2 payed

Sounds like you may be running to weak, check for splits in the carb rubber mountings, cos if air gets in there that screws things up, also are you running with the air box off, if so it may not run right un till you get the carbs compleatly balanced.

Drop the float bowls (tur the fuel off first) and remove the idle jet, I had mine ultra sonicly cleaned but this jet remain blocked.

HI guys
pulled out the pressed in slow running jets this afternoon ,and they were blocked solid,cleaned them out,tapped them back in replaced carbs,she now runs sweet as a nut, so well happy,what is the best black engine paint to use.

Yep.

I used Sperex VHT on my engine.  Red barrels and black head (OK, it was 1976...)

I use a high quality barbeque paint.

Don't laugh, think about it. Barbeques get a lot hotter than an engine.
