It's been pretty quiet on here recently, so I thought I'd start a picture thread.
Here's my Triumph which I ride every day and the VFR that I owned before it.

My first, that counts for the bike and the girl on the back. The glasses....................???? A slightly tuned Suzuki 500 Titan in 1976.

The second one is looking more like it:Pic taken while I was in the Army in 1978. Build it myself.

That's a good looking bike. How much of it is (was?) Rickman? Just the fairing or more?
Was that haircut allowed in the (Dutch?) army?
Oh, and who's the cool dude on the moped? (pic 1)
-
This is my daily ride, as I'm retired I have to get some exercise, new one for Christmas as after 9 years the old one is falling to bits.
Cheers

Hey Steve, yeah that was a great bike. Only the fairing was Rickman, the seat was Egli, the tank was of german origin and is the same as on my "JAPAUTO" replica. The wheels SMAC with disk on the rear. The engine was super, had a close ratio gearbox from a Daytona kit. 1st gear up to more then 60mph.
The haircut was allowed but had to use a 'hairnet'.
Don't know who the cool dude was.
cheers, Rob

Few pics of my RS175 land speed record contender.

Sam. ;)

Tell us more Sam.
-
It's an RS125 GP bike that has been made longer and lower and bored out to 134cc to run in the 175cc class.
It weighed in dry at 63kgs and makes about 43bhp.
I can't tell you much more untill I have done the first Meeting (Santa Pod 30th March)
In its first test run the other week it was leaving rubber for 100 yards. What it will do on a proper track....we'll have to see.
Sam. ;)

This is my most recent bike...2nd hand but low miles when I bought it. Shown at the Ashdown Forest last Summer on an evening ride.

This is the Exup that I bought with the insurance money from the insurance claim from when I had the accident on my 750F2. Has taken me to the Isle of Man, the WSB/Dutch TT at Assen & the Bol d'Or at the South of France. The missus prefers this bike to the R1 as the seat is more comfortable for her.

This was on the way home from the 30th Mayday Run in 2008 when we stopped at the pub in Farningham.

I have a big tank for the XR for when I go greenlaning up in Wales, but more recently I use my KTM.

Nowadays I have some 17" wheels for getting around town more easily.

And this is the only bike that I have ever bought brand new. I'm thinking of putting in a 525 piston & barrel, just to surprise a few people...
