Very nice but stupid money. I bet someone will buy it though when you consider how much the sandcast cb750 went for in the recent auction. Whilst the 750 had undoubted history and is unique it does make £15k sound like a bargain!
-
The CB750 that sold at auction was a prototype and only 4 were ever built. £15.995 for this bike is ridiculous, nice mileage if genuine but there are soooooo many 'low mileage' USA examples in the UK now at more reasonable and realistic prices, why pay that much for this one. It's not even a K0 its a K2.

Gets the polish out.

They must of had a show and it won first prize then, guess the new owner will get the 1st place rosettes as well.

Tools....classic fever alert.
Really have to wonder how long it will be before usable classics, which is what I look at these 70s Hondas as, become unusable trailer toys trucked from show to show.
Sad really.
The old Brit bikes have gone that way, and it's not a good thing. My dad gets many to rebuild and renovate, and all too often the 'fully restored' things are unfit to run, with polished externals and rotten mechanicals mixed with poor quality repro parts.
I want to be able to ride my bike every day if the mood takes me...but when prices go silly, so does the insurance....and the risk of theft.

More details here .. never knew K2 still came in my favourite colour Candy Jet Green?

relax and keep doing what you already do..... plenty of jap classics are already trailered to shows... and plenty of brit bikes are ridden in all weather, see the VMC for your local group and tag along.. In another decade or so the whole classic scene may virtually disappear anyway, when did you last go to a show or rally that wasn't 95% grey, bald old men... we cant go on forever :-)

I thought your barnet was a wig though!! :o

Lovely bike, exceptional condition, if I'd won the lottery I'd buy it but not unless I do win.
Kept looking at it to see if I could spot anything wrong and the only thing I can see that's not correct is the colour of the tool bag, they were black not blue, never seen a blue one. Could just be a trick of the light though.
Did you look at the colour of the tank & side panels Ken? ... was K2 available in that candy jet/jade green? Agree it's a lovely looking example. Wonder if the Bridgestone tyres are the originals? That shop is not a million miles from Queenies.

It would still be nice to put a face to your informative posts ;)

If I were judging shows. I would deduct 30% if transported to venue. Also all would have to be paraded around display arena for additional points

I should be candy bacchus olive for K2 My K0 is is jet (or jade) green, just a touch greener. Are there joints on tank trim?
It's nice, but K0s are better!

Yep i am...... but good-looking with it ;D :o

Good spot Woodside the tank trim is not original, there should be 4 joints on the trim if it was genuine and there are none of that example.
That's Candy Bacchus Olive Ash. Jade green is much brighter and a lot more green, not a bad colour though just not as nice as Jade Green which after Starlight Gold is my second favourite.
Got to disagree Seabeowner, the K2s are better, the clocks face the rider instead of being flat, that's why I changed mine for the 550F2 clocks as I just couldn't see the damned things when I was flat on the tank, plus the smaller clocks tended to bounce needles a lot.
Ah I see now .... I should have known as I just sold some 72/73 CB350K4 side panels in that colour. Was the Bacchus Olive available in the UK, as I never remember seeing one? Agree with you on the larger clocks Ken ..... Even considered fitting them to my K0 as they look great & just to annoy the purists.

OK, being picky where are the yellow paint marks to show the bolts are tight, except on rear wheel nut which has way too much!
-
I wondered who would be the first to spot that one. ;)
-
Bit naughty ..it's not taxed or SORN Reg is NW London
-
Imported, then taxed and MOTd May 17. MOT ran out 02/05/18. Did it really pass with 45 year old tyres? Mine were so hard I couldn't tell if there was air in them! I changed wheels for an MOT.
Didn't look at the clocks too much in the 70s. They just reminded me to change the oil yet again.
Detail: oil filter bolt? I have 6 (12mm) all with flat top.
