I'm going to fit the airbox and carbs to the K6 project I'm building (having welded the airbox frame brackets back on that the previous owner ground off!). I remember having trouble juggling them onto my standard K2 but as it was back in 2014 ish, can't remember what was the best method and thought I would ask the experts to avoid mucho causing and swearing in this scorchio weather (sorry, went all Spanish there - must be the weather!)

Try it on a CB400 /500 or 550, you will be swearing a lot more fitting them than on a CB750 Phil 🤣🤣🤣

Factor in minding 4 and 7 year old Grandsons tomorrow and the stress levels are in excess of 500 fitment stress Julie!

Get the Grandsons to help.........they will either amaze you with their dexterity and ingenuity, or you will amaze them with your cursing and swearing proficiency ! LOL.

I think the latter Alan! (as the younger one is hyper and the older one is autistic) - wish me luck!
Come on experts - any tips before I start - I just remember it being awkward and might have being my technique

Its easy Phil, Inlet rubbers on first ( a little silicone spray helps) Then the carbs and then the airbox top (Don't tighten up the two air box bolts until last ;) ;)
-
Thanks Graham - no chance of tightening up the airbox bolts - there's no holes drilled in the brackets yet (welded on blank bracket to ensure the I get airbox in right position - should be near enough though as used measurements from my K2)

All done with no trouble at all - think I may have fitted complete airbox when I built up K2 years ago in my naivety
