Title: cam timing

posting pics for 2 reasons,

1 for you guys with experience to say its correct ( or not )

2  pics for future newbie guys doing this

let me know guys bit paranoid about getting this part wrong

Crank needs to be a bit more clockwise so that the line adjacent to the "T" lines up not the one by the "F" as it is in pic which will probably put the cam 1 tooth out as it looks a bit to far clockwise now

Is it just crank i have to move clockwise,  and move cam chain 1 tooth  back ?

cam is correct ?

Yes the cam notch looks in the correct place.

The T mark is for Top Dead Centre, the F mark is a few degrees before TDC which is the timing mark.

Check that the cam lobes for #1 are in a position that would leave the valves closed (if the tappets were adjusted) - the set up is for TDC #1

Make sure that you turn the engine clockwise (looking from the direction of the photo so that the slack is at the rear of the cam chain (ie if you past the mark, go all the way around again!)
