Just read about this on another suzuki forum from the states, says that he died on the 28th june after a long battle with Cancer? aged 54 , anyone know if it is correct? cheers Mick.

Sadly it is true, there was a mention of it on classicbike forum and also a 2 page spread in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics of which he was the editor. He was ill for some time. A sad loss to the motorcycling world.

Yes it was a bit of a shock.
He'd been ill for ages and C&MM had a series of "stand-in" editors, each month syaing that Rod was getting better.
Then this month...
RIP mate.
