Title: CB550K 1978 - Not Charging/Continuity between stator and case

Hi

I'm having charging problems with my CB550k, I have done all the steps from this link (http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=134836.0) to figure out the problem.
So I'm getting continuity between the stator yellow wires and the stator case, it means my stator needs to be replaced? None of the visible wires are touching the case.

Yes ifthereis no resistance between each yellow wire and alloy case you have a problem, check the joints where the flexible wires are soldered to the windings, i have seen problems there. If you actually have a shorted winding with no visible damage you get a prize as first ever!
