Title: Gasket sealant

Just to gauge opinion here, what’s the consensus on having to use additional sealant on base gaskets between gasket and cylinders. I personally think if your surfaces are clean and smooth with no nicks I like to think that the gasket will do it’s job. But maybe belt and braces?

Not if you want your cam to last, smallesr bit in the oilways starves the cam.

Thanks Bryan fitted now with just gasket.
