Hi brit living in Belgium getting a slght leak of oil from tacho drive point new seal installed with cup facing into engine assured that is correct way. Still leaks why what is cause and how to cure thanks
-
You change the oring at the same time?
Where's the leak point, have you identified it yet?
Cup into engine is correct. Writing facing upwards.
If it's the seal possible causes can be worn shaft, seal no longer able to bridge the gap so to speak. If that's the case let me know as I have a few spare shafts lying around. If removing the shaft, don't lose the washer under the head.

Are we talking 750 F2 or 550 F2?
-
Good point Bryan, I keep forgetting there are 2 F2 models, I just naturally presume it's a 550F2.

750 as i put post on 750 page i think but thanks;could i just seal it with gasket sealer and leave 24 hrs or so

Sounds like a bad seal to me then, they are difficult to get right with cover on
