Title: Hi Guys
Post by: sfbrain on June 28, 2010, 02:00:53 PM
Well i'm currently on the front page as the 'Lastest Member' so thought i'd better introduce myself  ;)

I'm based near Sidcup in North Kent and am a bit of a serial restorer, which i mainly do between November and March each year (This is when i'm not working (outside MotoGP season  ;)))

I attend the VJMC monthly meeting at the Gamecock pub (by Brands Hatch) on the 1st Thursday of every month (when i'm not abroad working) and there are a few old Hondas there each month  ;)

Will be there next Thursday if anyone is interested ?

Steve

Hi and welcome. UK Pete must be right on your doorstep in Sidcup, and I think Yoshi is in that neck of the woods too, so you'll have company. I'm pretty sure one or the other get along to the VJMC meets,

regards, Phil

Hi steve , i am in sidcup and also like to do restorations if you click the blue link in my post it will take you to my current restoration
i am not a member of the vjmc and dont really take part in that sort of thing although i should really start to, there seems to be many like minded people on this forum,
Yoshi (tim) is a member of the vjmc and i think goes to the meetings, he also lives just outside sidcup you may well know him, i have met up with him a few times and he has helped me out by selling me some spares for my bike.
I might go to the gamecock if they are ok with non members turning up
Pete

Hi Pete

I'm not a member of the VJMC either  :-[

The Gamecock meet is very informal and anyone who likes old bikes is welcome. I may well know Yoshi by sight  :)

I started going with a few other members of the RD Aircooled club (which i am a member of and have a few bikes) Will be there on Thursday, feel free to come along if you are free.

I've already looked at your project  :), very nice, incidently i got a pair of F2 comstar wheels with my project, if they are are any help to anyone ??

Hi Pete

That would be good, would love to see your K1  :)

I normally get there between 7.30 and 8, and i will deffo be there this week.

Will either be on my Silver RD250E or in my car (there are 3-4 of us locally and they dont always have their bikes running so we share lifts, my car is a Silver 645 BMW).

Everyone is fiendly and a new K1 will deffo get them chatting to you  :)

Hopefully see you there

Steve

Hi Steve...welcome to the site. I do get down to the Gamecock occasionally, & even more likely to go now that the TRF & the VJMC meets don't clash anymore.

I'll be down on my Exup1000 at about 7.30-7.45pm. I know what to look out for in Pete's 750K1 as it's quite a looker so there'll be a good crowd around it. When Peter gets his 750F2 done there'll be an even bigger crowd around that...
