Title: 500 wiring loom frame fitting pics.
Post by: McCabe-Thiele (Ted) on April 28, 2023, 05:21:47 PM: When I was fitting the new loom to my 400 there were some lovely photos of how the wiring & cables flowed around the frame.
Are there any similar sketches for the 500 - I've looked in Ash's dropbox & the manuals without success?
My loom looks pretty good I just need to tidy up the outer bindings here & there etc.

Photo below shows where my loom was routed before strip down so need to tidy it all up.

Post by: Johnny4428 on April 28, 2023, 05:34:01 PM: Nothing to do with me Ted, but a loom that age I would completely strip off outer binding to visually inspect all wires. Did that with the 550 and ended up replacing a couple of wires.

Sound logic - there are not expensive to replace on the grand scale of rebuilds.

Go to this site and download the CB500-550-K-Shop-Manual. Has a couple of diagrams from page 146. Might be helpful.
