Appeared on the bike table part way through stripping down my 550 k1Looks like some kind of wiring guide ?

Yes, wire guide from around the coil area. I'll try and take a photo later.

No idea why Honda call it a wire guide because it doesn't guide the wires at all, it fit onto the frame, hence the groove and IMO is there to aid a good earth connection.
