Title: CB550F Tank and Side cover Decals
Post by: DougP on December 05, 2023, 09:56:45 AM
Hello team,

I’m in the process of repainting my 1975 CB550F1 tank and side covers - does anyone have a dimensioned diagram showing where to position the decals?

Cheers

Hey @DougP

Not sure I could help, but I'm also searching around for similar stuff related to the tank of my Honda 500 Four 1972.
I have made a sort of "flat diagram" of the tank in black and white lines in a vector file).

It looks pretty much the same, the guys that will paint it will have it at his side when placing the masks for them, so it's supposed to be very very close to the original
I've put quite some time for a while using references from higher res pics that I've found on the web (I'm a Designer so It's really pretty close of the real thing)

Though I'm still looking where to find the "thickness" (mm) of each of the lines, as well as a color reference for the Jade Green Tanks. Anything would help.

I'm happy to send you a pdf of what I have done, not a problem. But it would help to find the thickness of it first.
It wouldn't work to print the deals though, as they have different curves to compensate the curves of the tank of course.

In case you want it, or have any references that could use to investigate, please poke me here :)
