Can someone enlighten me if you have to anneal a copper head gasket before refitting on a S90, I have done previously on a BSA 650 A10, not sure these days...
-
Yes but dont remember the small hondas having copper gaskets
-
Pure copper gasket, yes. Annealing it softens it so seals better when head bolted down.
-
Yes Bryan there is a very thin copper gasket not like the old brit bikes , it's so thin I'm wondering if it's soft enough not to anneal
-
No always anneal, just be carefull not to melt it!
-
Yes Bryan thoughts are the same as its thin as tin foil, having to wait for a replacement from the states as DS supplied one damaged from same place, will have sleep on it eh ...thanks for your input ..

Instead of using a torch put it on the hob when the boss isnt looking

Ha ha Bribery comes to mind , as that went down like lead balloon, I'll have try harder, it's food for thought Bryan thankyou for the Tip ..
