I had to deliver posters for our forthcoming Classic Show today, so I dragged the 550 out for a run around the West Mainland (of Orkney). Sorry about the rack and top-box if they offend the purists but I had other stuff to carry too!

....and then north west towards the Brough of Birsay about a mile from home.
The Classic show is at the Orkney Auction Mart on Saturday 3rd August and Sunday 4th August where there will be cars, bikes, tractors, commercials, implements and an indoor display. Obviously lots of food too!

Nice bike, nice weather .... send some to London! Hey, why not get a set of chuck over saddlebags for your steed? ;D

Never thought about throw-overs really, somehow I've always preferred a top box, especially as I can go walk-about without helmet, gloves, waterproofs etc. I made the rack very quickly detachable without disturbing the indicators - each side comes away separately and the box is very QD.

Thanks James,
I'm just so pleased that you gave me the chance to be the next custodian! I even got a genuine handbook from Hubert (honda enthusiast) to fill the empty space, when I met up with the folk at Crieff recently!

Looking very tidy Ian, and dry!

That looks fantastic and I love the top box scenario. You can get loads in those, I have two of them. The bike looks stunning and as Dom said, dry too!

Great colour, really pops👍. The silencer is very classy, Honda got it right with the styling. Perfect looking weather & roads.

Oh and despite what some say about black and silver plates, they look right on this age of bike even if not strictly correct.

Good job done and nice day for it! Bike is looking good.

I know others have said - it's a great looking bike Ian! 8) 8) 8)

Thanks Ted,
Yes, I'm very happy with the way it turned out and very little else needs doing (for a change!). If there is another SOHC meet, I would love to attend on this one - Crieff was a bit too far given the weather we were having, hence the use of the Forza.
