IWM Duxford today...but not on an SOHC 🙁. Even so, it was fun! Arrived in time to see a Hurricane, a Harvard and three Spitfires take off and head away, whilst a pair of Tiger Moths did their usual slow pottering about. 50 mile round trip so just a pleasant afternoon out!

Dead jealous, we once spent a long weekend looking round the IWM and what a great place it is to explore, I even did a Biggles and went for a ride in a Tiger Moth.
Cheers

It's a regular stop for me - I take a packed lunch and sit and watch the world go by! My wife kindly bought me the tiger Moth flight too - it was fab....big jacket and goggles and lots of fresh air!

Walking around Duxford museum is a two day event, it is so big!
I was lucky enough last year to fly from an airfield in Essex as a passenger in a Piper with a couple of mates one of them being The pilot. He hadn't long passed his test and asked where we wanted to go. As a joke I said Duxford! He said OK and off we went. We flew into Duxford, paid a minimal landing fee and had a couple of hours there, very enjoyable being 'airside' as it were and watching the Spits going up.
