Title: Fork stanchions
Post by: TezzerTel on August 20, 2024, 10:02:14 AM
What's peoples thoughts on these fork stanchions? The chrome is very good where anything slides on it but quite corroded higher up.

I'm thinking get the worst of the corrosion off refit and protect with lanogaurd or something similar?

Paint after fitting so it's metal to contact in the yoke clamps?

Or break the bank and have them Hard Chromed.

You cant paint after fitting as the headlamp brackets are in the way, just carefull open up the yokes with no clamp bolts fitted

Pay particular attention to the area the fork seal comes into contact with for scratches and pitting. If ok as Bryan says.
