So I treated Lazarus to an original style 4 into 4 exhaust from delkevic and having a real problem fitting the left hand pair for cylinders 1 and two. The problems I am having is a combination of catching the side stand and lining the connecting rubbers to lin up at the fear. Was prepared for some jiggling but whatever I try I can't get them to fit together. Any tips before I go crazy.

The side stand is not uncommon as an issue - I just fitted a small stop rubber.
On my 500 the right side foot rest tube was very slightly bent when compared to the left side. To fix this I had to file the bracket where the top silencer fits by slightly altering the oval hole. I then had no issues with the short balancer pipe pulling out. I covered this in my 500 project thread. Three pipes went on easily it was just number one that I had to take off and do the bracket mod on. It was probably 1.5-2.0 mm that needed filing. I was able to work out what needed doing by leaving number two bolted to the bracket and hanger then placing number one in situ I could mark the bracket as the holes were not fully aligned.

My side stand is pretty much between the two pipes, the inside pipe is very close to the frame boss near the front. In the up position the stand is mostly between the two pipes. Hard to describe I'll pop a couple of photos up in a few minutes. It could be your stand is very slightly bent or the boss is out of original alignment - I think my stand was either worn or very slightly bent. I then had issues with the center stand that were easy to resolve with an adjust able stop with a bit of rubber on the end.

Thanks for replies, I have no 2 pipe outside the sidestand so that may be the problem.

You definitely need number two pipe to the right of the stand lug on the frame mine runs very close probably only 15-20 thou of an inch away - the gap might close slightly when you tighten up the front clamp. I found if the clearance gap was too wide then the rear view of the silencers would show the exhaust as not parallel at the ends so they did not sit right in respect to one another.

Just had a quick look and putting no 2 pipe inside the sidestand seems to be the answer, rookie error! Thanks all will try again when time permits but think it will be ok.
