I just love the thoroughness of restoring the carb fitting clips on either end by a PO.
It probably took longer to clean the paint brush than it did to restore the clips. ;D ;D ;D

They are a bit fiddly to get working well and looking nice Ted but worth the effort. Maybe the clips should be olive drab but I did those with BZP as my olive drab never seems to work properly.
These were from a mate's 250N, done in exchange for a load of stone for my semi-circular garden wall job - that's Orkney for you!

Thanks for the link Ian, I assume you do your own BZP something I might consider, up to now I have used a local firm on my 400.
I'm sensing the bodge DNA profile of a PO somewhere between 2022-23.

Yes Ted,
When we were South I used to get a place in Chorley (Lancs) to do the BZP but they ceased trading at about the time we moved to Orkney. Like many, I bought a kit from Gateros and started doing my own. Yes, it's time consuming but very rewarding and you don't risk losing stuff in the post. Saying that, some small stuff occasionally gets hurled into a dark corner of the workshop when caught by the wire wheel!
One big advantage for me is that I have a stabilised power supply (Isotech) which makes setting up much easier and I use it for charging batteries too.
Here's a link to an earlier piece I wrote for Tansha.

Tarted for a sale maybe Ted. Less than impressed.

I had the same thing on my bike when I first got her, although I think it was sprayed on. Also cobwebs between the carbs! ;D
