Hi everyone back again for more advice, i have a 1974 cb550 with a Keihin 022A carb set on it when i was working on the carbs i damaged a float bowl valve the small plunger got stuck in the valve body, my silly mistake, the valves are the metal pointed ones not the rubber ones any idea where i can order the same or would the rubber pointed ones do the job, if so would i be better replacing all the valves with the rubber pointed ones or can i mix and match thanks for any advice you can give me cheers.

NRP Carbs
You may have to buy a carb kit
Try Mr Google for those two

Yes, you can mix and match if necessary. Like he said, NRP, DS and Allen’s Carburettor.

Better to change all 4, then your float levels have a good chance of being similar.
I'm not keen on after market carb brass ware and managed to source NOS genuine Honda for mine.
Good luck
Skoti.

Buy just one. https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb550-k1-four-1975-usa_model466/float-valve-set_16011329004/ No need to change all 4. That's a lot of money wasted. Valves and their needles wear hardly. I never had to (re)adjust any float on any of these old style CB500/550 Keihin carbs.
Here's my foolproof method to diagnose if there's an indication for action.

I should have a few of these if you need one. Genuine, I don't do aftermarket in carb parts.
PM me if interested.
