Title: Front Fork Cap F Mark
Post by: JEZZAIRONBRIDGE on July 15, 2025, 08:52:10 PM
New to forum.
Recent purchase of 400/4.
Forks need investigation as leaking Oil from bottom.
Last owner replaced Stanchions.
Does the "F" marking to the Front Lower Fork Caps have any significance at all?

F means front so make sure you have them on the correct way round and follow the manual when doing the bolts up and torque to the correct setting👍.
Similar to tgd handlebar clamps if you take them off for any reason, the have a dot that faces the back. When you do these up you tighten the front bolts first.

Many thanks for advice.
Much appreciated.
Believe Fork Oil loss due to the re use of Copper Washers.
Ordered replacements now.
Thanks again.
