What on earth is a slipper clutch was my initial thought? I had to look up on the internet. Seems overly complicated to me. Not sure why anyone would want riding modes and ABS on a motorcycle. My riding mode is one which adapts to the prevailing conditions and is determined by me, the rider.

Sign of the times... ???
A friend's wife has a NC750X... the Owner's Manual that came with it is as thick as a public phone-book... 80% of it informs about how to change the colors/scheme of the TFT screen... but nothing else, like information about the brake system, how to remove fairing panels, etc... nadda... :-\

Liked the look at first and thought it was a four cylinder and then read it was a parallel twin. Nothing wrong with a twin of course but why make it look like a four? If Honda thinks a four is more appealing - give it four cylinders. My thoughts!
-
Is it genuine? Will it be launched at EICMA show. The CB500 and CB1000 are 2026 models yet this says 2025.
The image is CGI, not a real bike. The info says parallel twin, yet image shows a 4. It also says it has an aluminium frame then contradicts that with a lightweight steel frame.
Let's wait and see.

ABS is compulsory now on all bikes over 125cc. Riding modes are one of the current fashions that manufacturers think that we want. Maybe newbies with their iphones and gadgets like them.
On a 200bhp superbike a Rain mode might make sense, but not on a bike like this.

Showing my age here; I'm not good at keeping up to date with modern bikes, the newest bike I've ridden was made in 1978, so I can't comment in an informed way, but I had no idea there were so many things like ABS, ride modes, and slipper clutches etc. I read an article recently that suggested some younger riders find classic bikes scary/dangerous to ride. I think I'm beginning to understand why now. I am intrigued though and might have to try and have a go on a modern machine.

Go for a test ride on a modern bike with a quickshifter (sometimes called "shift assist").
It's quite addictive.

Good point Sherlock. Got to say I thought that myself re 2025. Didn't read much spec but saw visually it was a 4. Thinking about it wouldn't Honda tease us with the idea well before, as they did with the 2026 retro CB900...?
-
if it is a twin it might have twin exhaust ports which would account for the four header pipes.
-
Not sure about this.
Go to planethonda.in and see what else he is talking about.
There’s 2025 Yamaha XS650 that looks pretty much the same. Four cylinders in the picture and “powerful twin cylinder engine” in the text.
A reverse image search on the picture shows absolutely no matches in the entire google world.

Not impressed, it looks more like a Kawasaki to me.
The modern Z1 looks ever so good to me so why can't Honda do something similar for the CB750.
Cheers

Hmm...liked it at first. Then, the more I looked, the less I liked it.
They are making large parallel twins now as they are easier to get through emissions and whatnot, so they have just doubled the ports and faked a 4 pot. I'd rather have a CB1100x. It at least was what it looked like.

There's a lot of these 'new retro models' on YouTube that don't actually exist. It's all click bait. I can't see Honda launching this bike in 2026 when they have already announced the 500 and 900 fours. I don't think the 500/4 is destined for the UK anyway.
I hope it's a CGI image of the 750 because if Honda were to launch a bike with that pig ugly and huge silencer they won't sell many!
-
...then theres the ZXMoto 500cc, 72hp. Retro. Proper clocks. Supposedly coming to the UK where the Honda 500 isn't.
-
I know nothing about Z-Moto ... but I looked up their 500cc retro roadster...and...wow. That's a pretty little bike. Should make a lovely little urban runabout. Especially the red one..coz they are faster

They just won the 300 World championship so not too shabby. The 500 Four looks great but I won't rush to buy one. I hope Honda decide to bring their 500f SuperFour sometime soon. 🤞

Reads like AI enhanced bullshit to me.
Image looks computer generated.
And as for building a retro version of the famous 750 FOUR with a twin cylinder engine - what a joke !
Another concocted bike launch engineered by some hack journalist ?
-
The twin is just wrong, fully agree..... that AI-looking pic with the 4 pipes is fake..... the bike does exist.......
