We don't normally get much here - gulf stream and near the Ocean but my weather app says 2 deg C and feels like minus 16! Been in the workshop this morning cleaning ride on mower parts in the parts washer - that WAS cold.

Snowed Thursday night here, not huge amount but enough to make all surfaces white, including roads.
Major routes gritted, but side roads treacherous as generally compacted into ice now. Some still have sheet ice and was -5.5c @ 8:00am today.
A few nerfed car corners and clattered rims into granite kerbing are notable locally :-\ proliferation of delivery scooters saw quite a few taken by surprise, fairly fast on their side too.
Out at adhoc car meet locally this morning, quite a turn out from classics and surprised as the amount of salt/grit around would usually keep them away.

a shower here yesterday now gone, its just freezing -4c overnight cold without the frost effect.

Same here in Londinium, and I bet I want it too stay that way too. If you've been to places like Russia and Finland you'll have seen enough of the stuff anyway. ;)

Nothing in Peterborough either. We seem to be in a dead spot between the Midlands an the east coast.
Shorts and t shirt weather compared to where my daughter lives in central Finland, -16 there at the moment.

Dave

Been up on Hay Bluff this morning, not possible without 4x4. Nice dusting of snow but the track up us lethal in places.

Just a light dusting of icing sugar in Dundee last couple of nights. We're just on the edge of some of the snow showers. Very disappointing. Temperatures are Baltic though!

The last time I did a Baltic winter we had to bash our way through miles of sea ice just to dock in St. Petersburg! :o

Snow just arrived this morning in Clacton on sea Essex, I am going to Colchester today but not looking forward to the numty drivers who dont take any care in normal weather, let alone a light snow/ice covering

No snow
But outside thermometer reads -4.8c at 8.30 this morning
I have reports of snow in Birmingham
As I type this, the sun is appearing over the roofs in a cloudless blue sky
25 degrees warmer, I would be getting the bike out

That looks perfect to have fun on the TL Tim 👍.
I was out in the workshop yesterday, it was freezing but the thermals kept me toasty apart from my feet that were like two big blocks of ice after a couple of hours and despite the insulated floor! Too cold to venture back into there today.

We've got it soft compared to these guys! :o

What happened to the storm? no snow, no gales and virtually no heavy overnight rain around my area!

I've just driven back to Lincs from East Sussex, a very unpleasant drive but got home unscathed despite those drivers that don't know which switch to use to turn their lights on 🙄🙄🙄🙄
