Hi all
Just wondered please if anybody has had a go at fabbing these up?
Just started to strip down the carbs on the MH replica and these have had it, as gone very hard and brittle.

Was going to remake in 2mm black silicone rubber sheet and cut the shape / profile out on the wife’s circut machine once I have created a profile, as the design intent is just to keep out dirt from entering the sync assemblies but maintain that range of “adjustment”.
Just wondered please if anybody else has found an alternative solution?

I have a vauge recolection of somebody on the US forum trying to make them years ago, no idea if it worked or not.
They never were available unless you bought a complete rack

I’ve seen them included in a kit Honda made that also contained the alloy lifter arm that it seals against. There was a kit on eBay the other year with the part number clearly displayed but it wasn’t cheap at all.

If anyone is into 3d printing I think it’s possible with TPU filament - 3d drawing might be problematic unless you’re proficient in CAD (or similar)!

If just hard and gettting brittle, might be able to soften them up with a 50/50 mixture of wintergreen oil and isopropanol????

Yes I print and sell many parts for the 350LC so maybe time to dabble in printing TPU

The TPU material is impressive in final product.
We've (son runs a printer) been trying different product to output and assess. Longer print time by some margin, but patience brings a significantly robust final output in terms of material integration and robustness. I'm very impressed at that strength and malleable characteristic, viable with not really much in any way compromised as to the item it's used for.
Definitely recommend a trial to assess potential yourself.

I could be wrong, I often am, I think they are essentially dust shields to keep muck out of the mechanism.
Often wondered if an O ring would do the job on each ball end.

Hope all is well
It needs to be this shape as one of the holes is slotted to allow for sync adjustment.
As got some TPU filament going to also try and print the thin carb top seal that will replace the paper one that always degrades and needs replacement.
Feel there maybe a market opportunity for both parts as they are both neither available individually

That seems to work just great
Only thing I would change maybe is make in neoprene as it’s more elastic

Al, i have about 4 sets of carbs to do so may well be interested depending on cost of course, spending a fortune keeping Mr Disney going at moment!!

I will chat to the wife as she kindly helped me out and Donna needs to cost in stuff like replacement blade for the Cricket as the material is hard on the blades etc but recon it will be around £10 a set of 4 plus post which seems reasonable.

Glenn took it down and is investigating some sort of Cloudfare setup.

16030-323-004 is the part number for the complete arm and that odd looking seal. Dave Silver has some in stock at around £40 a set :o :o
Not sure if they are identical to the CB400F but they do look the same.
