Title: Frame number1031664
Post by: Dhubie on October 17, 2026, 01:40:47 PM
Hi

I have dug my old CB750K out the shed. Went in there in 1989. I originally purchased the bike as a rolling chassis in 1975. Apparently the chain had snapped and destroyed the crankcase halves.

As a young lad I rebuilt it with a then current engine K5. The carbs, exhaust and air box were missing so they all were from K5. For cost the exhaust was a yoshimura 4 into 1.

I am the second owner.
The bikes first registration was in July 1970, with an H reg plate. It is Candy Blue green.  I am struggling to find the history and where it fits in.
Any help?

A 103**** is a 1969/1970 750 K0, which would make sense with the chain / crankcase breakage.

If its an original UK bike you can pay a fee to Honda and get a dating certificate BUT it may only give the year as a lot of the Honda records in Japan were lost in a fire.
They cannot tell you the original colour and probably not even the dealer, the reg should tell you the erea it was registered

I think it was originally registered in Nottingham,  the number plate is CAL which tallies as a Nottingham registration
