Can ayone tell me what damping fluid I need to restore smooth movement of my needles. The clocks are both NOS but it looks like the dampers have dried out inside. At medium speeds the needles fluctuate back and forth although the cables are both lubed and new. I can get them open no problem but can anyone tell me the lube points and how to fill the damper again.
Thanks :)

Hello Ash
That would be great. Have you actually used the fluid with good results and do you know anywhere with pictures on a how to basis?

No not tried it yet but the viscosity looks about right and according to another member not too critical. I have loads of old clocks here to try it on (about 30 in fact) the problem is having the time to experiment on it.
