Hi just thought i would say hello from suprisingly sunny Scotchland !!!
I am going to look at this 1976 CB750 Supersport with only 26k on the clock tomorrow and have a couple of Q's please ??
Can you tell if this is a UK bike or Import (ODO is in miles )
Should it have twin disks on the front and disk brake on back for this year ??
I no this is not the standard exhaust should it have the 2 into 2 on it ??
Is this a F1/2 quite confusing as there are alot of models for that year ??
Any tips aswell on what to look for please ??
Regards Stuart

That appears to be a CB750F1, but with an F2 tank on it, or painted in F2 colours. F1 or F2 would have had a factory 4 into 1 as standard. The F1 had spoked wheels as per the picture, the F2 had 5 spoke "Comstar" wheels, black engine and fork sliders, with different calipers to most of the other Honda fours of the time, and dodgy/quick wear valves and guides. On the whole, the F1 is a good reliable motor, sadly most of the specific trim parts are difficult to find, but that one looks okay ;D If you do buy it and decide you don't like the exhaust, give me a shout, and the second disc is not standard, but very worthwhile mod for riding in modern traffic :D

Cheers for the info Hairygit !!!
I have noticed that there are many engine parts on Ebay and many parts in the US ??
If i do buy it which i think i will i am planning on turning it into a Cafe Racer or something different and have seen lots of nice parts from BCR in the states i especially like the 4 into 4 pipes !!!
You dont happen to know what the scoop is ruuning a fibreglass tank in the UK ??

Hi Stu and welcome to the forum , i've got a F1 and there a decent all round bike fairly easy to work on to,
before you go chucking loads of money on cafe parts have a look on the sister site in the USA www.sohc4.net
theres plenty of info on cafe's etc and who to buy from and who not to ;), cheers Mick.

That looks like a very tidy CB750F1, the extra front disc is certainly a bonus, the tank like the one on mine is an F2 item and has a different petrol tap to the F1, and the short rear mudguard is missing, on mine this was all metal and very prone to rust, the F2 version is plastic and fits the F1 as well.
Cheers
