Hi all, camshaft is buggered :'( Does anyone know how specific I need to be about a replacement. I found one on ebay US with carriers as one of mine has picked up - looks like oil starvation!

Would that do the trick? Do we have to pay import duty on second hand bits?
Cheers, Jamie

Hi Jamie I think that will be ok for you as long as all the oil ways line up with your head,
make sure you clean the oil ways in your head and barrels before putting it all back together otherwise it will do it again, a
as for import duty you could ask the seller to mark it as a gift and take your chance ;) cheers Mick.

The ad for the cam states 'cam shaft and rockers assembly was removed from motor CB750E2529641'
That number identifies it as a CB750 K’76 so im hoping it should be ok, but as normal, the more I look into these things the more I begin to lose confidence!

yes it will incure duty at about 3% then vat on the total of parts cost+postage cost+import duty(yes a tax on a tax) then about £13 the post office charges you for the privelege of collecting the money

Thanks Mick and Bryan - Bryan, are you aware of any differences in the camshafts between the 76 'K' and K7 motors?
Regards

Jamie if you go on cmsnl 's website you will be able to look at the parts fiche for k6 & k7 , I don't think there are any major differences in the cam towers & camshaft parts ?, cheers ;) Mick.
