It's only taken five months to repair but I got the bike back today just need the time to use her now
I had forgotten what it was like to ride she's a big old girl with almost nonexistent brakes but so much more rewarding than my Triumph

I haven't made anything out of it but at least it's back on the road and slightly better than before ;)
-
Glad to hear it mate. I'll look out for a green flash on my ride to work! Have to say riding along Southend sea front this morning I was sorely tempted just to keep going for an hour or three ........
-
Well I used it for work today a round trip of 115 miles the speedo is out of whack again and I had forgotten how much noise the cam chain makes and the throttle seems a bit stiff so replacement cables are on order apart from that she runs spot on.I had a great ride even though it is a boring trip plenty of people waving and putting there thumbs up
-
Waggles I work in Southend quite often I will have to keep an eye out.I have skipped work on a few occasions and just kept going :D I have been spotted just down the road from site phoning in sick

It's really good to hear you make a comment like that Pete, not so long ago I thought we were going to lose you when you posted about selling up and giving up bikes, so glad you saw the light and sanity returned! ;D

Thanks Hairygit, i have 6 bikes on the road at the moment, and am riding them all i am totally obssesed again, trouble is i nearly got wiped out again by some f--ker the other day nearly had to lay the bike down and slide under the car but i hung on and just managed to avoid disaster, about 4 weeks ago i got knocked flying by a car i was on my pedal bike out for a sunday ride, i got proper gravel rashed up and badly bruised, this was me just after it happened, the bruising came out over the next few days , my knee still hurts now,
it is a dangerous game on two wheels, hope your doing alright and recovering
