I do not believe that bike has 1699 miles on it Lester. I mailed him yesterday asking how he will confirm this. Still no answer.

I too am a little suspicious... if only 'coz the red band on the RPM gauge is faded - which implies > 1700 miles in the outdoors. You might argue that indeed it was never under cover... but then other aspects of it would be worse.

Tom400F has a 1978 (untouched) CB400F... the clocks faces are nice & bright...
So, a little confused!

Been in the US, they have sun.   :)
I was surprised by the condition of the paintwork. I've never seen anything like that locally.

James, I must apologize to you. I have just checked my messages and i seemed to of sent it to the other F2 owner that is selling his bike on flea bay. Your bike would need a lot of work and funds thrown at it.
I was just interested on how you would warrant the mileage. When bikes come in from foreign shores you can never believe whats on the clock. The first thing i would check is. Does it still have its original tyres?. I have shamed many sellers by pointing out that the bike maybe showing 981 miles on this 34 year old vehicle, but Avon have only been selling that tyre type  for the past 17 years.

Hi James, i can confirm that your tyres are OEM for the year. Forward this info to your listing and this should show even more interest.

Thanks Simon. Mine was stored in the original owner's front room I'd guess for 17 years as I have a tax disc from 1979 and I bought it in 1996 (iirc). It had 1800 miles on it then and has 2600 now. I'm the second owner only. It can happen...

Good luck with the sale, James

Hey James. I wonder could you give me the dimensions of the orange reflectors on the headlight ears please.

Thanks James.

I seen the Motad and winkies but they are no big deal. The rest looks to be there.

If I could afford it I would certainly think about it. Wouldn't be hard to arrange something.

A little surprised that the F2 from James has not had more bid's. Or it could be a mad dash in the last minute. If it doesn't i'm going to put my hand in my pocket.

I think the amount of views is down to members keep going back and forth trying to work out if it is, what it is :)
I know Lester has visited the site a least 20 times  ;)

Well james , it's still going up. But a lot of catching up to be done if it is going to get anywhere near the CB750 Sand Cast. ;D

A lovely bike for someone at a very good price, if I'd managed to sell a few of my other bikes sooner it would have been very tempting indeed at that price.

I sold the family CB550F2 for £1800 (including a brand new DSS replica seat which I didn't get around to fitting) & the new owner loves it
