Hi, I am trying to establish if a pair of handlebars that came with my k2 are original North American spec. They measure 30 inches across with a rise of around 8 inches, they have an oval hole in the centre and one at each end for routing the wiring and are capped off at each end with plastic inserts. Any ideas?
Thank you.

With that rise they definitely aint UK spec

A little confused here. You have this post under 500/550 but, speak of a K2 ?

Did they not make a 550 k2?

The rise sounds more than it is. From the first to the second bend is around 5 inches, 8 inches is from the centre section to the ends

Yep, Introduced late 74 to the USA only. Most original bars do not have plastic ends but, you can tell original bars if the switch gear fits without the wires being pinched as they go in the holes.

Ok, guess i will only find out when i come to fit them, seems i am going against the grain refitting higher bars but having lower shorter ones means all the cables are too long, plus theres no point trying to go quickly on these things, might as well be sat up in the breeze!
