Title: Oil Hoses CB750 K2
Post by: rhos1355 on October 31, 2014, 08:26:36 PM
Does any know, or would recommend a workshop in the Sussex/South area that will make me some new oil hoses. Preferably braided. I have seen the webste of a company called SJR Hydraulics of Uckfield, but before I hand over my priceless hoses, does anyone here have any feedback on them?

Hi rhos
I used to live just up the road from SJR and my ex hubby used them quite often for different projects he worked on. He never had a problem with them as far as I can remember  :-*

Just having some stainless braided hoses done at the moment at a place near me in Blackpool. Picking them up early this week, will let you know how I got on and post some photos.

This is a set I had made by a local hydraulic pipe specialist. The sort of unit that manufactures pipes for diggers etc.

Thanks Roy. I have seen someone local to me that does this. But I will be very interested in your results.

You weren't kidding when you told me that they looked "the dog's....."!
That's impressive.
Did you chrome/polish/treat the end connectors as well?

I've used these guys in the last couple of months on a Norton slimline custom project - walked in off the street and they built the lines for me there and then. Reasonably priced and friendly guys...

Got me pipes back this afternoon, and am well pleased with them. Just have a look at the photos. Cut off the old hoses on a spare set I had that was in a shocking condition. Polished up the ends by hand and took them in with the set off the bike for them to copy. Had them done at Powerfit on Redmarsh Industrial Estate, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire. And here's the thing, £30 all in. Result I think.

Those look really nice, Roy.
I'll take a chance with SJR in Uckfield. I'll give them a call and arrange delivery.

Cheers
