Title: Quiet
Post by: Bitsa (Ralph Wright - RIP) on December 14, 2014, 06:42:42 PM
Blimey is it me or everyone is out partying, shopping or what, its dead here most of the year and this weekend all is dead quiet on here.
Has all stopped doing things?
Cheers

Hi,
Too cold for my old bones even in the bike-house, spent a lifetime wielding ice cold spanners!

We've all hibernated ;D ;D
No luck with my switch internals, thought someone may have some broken ones to help with.
Shame your place has gone.
bought some bits from US and tracking it it's "left London" 28 November so god
knows where it is now.

well,I have been out partying, and I had a ride earlier in the week,

but,I get bored with polishing, after topping up the battery ,I am going to wait for a dry, bright day,
to much salt about !!

we could discuss a proposed sohc club run,as mentioned before,we need to arrange a start base,
possible (cheap) accommadation, food and maybe a little evening drink ?

so,who's up for it?
suggest some dates?
general area,with some nice routes,about 70-100 miles a day ?

Today, i've been mainly repairing my oil burner. Went for a 50 mile run to test out a new pair of gloves. Not bad for £20.
Ride through London? Not nice. Did that everyday as a job for a few years.

My end of the world can offer brilliant biking roads, a very thin coverage of greed cameras and some decent pubs, and is equally far from anyone. Fraid any sohc meet wouldn't involve me on a sohc bike until well into next year, the ntv is about all I want to havd to shell out tax on.

I agree, your general area is perfect for riding, and the food and drinks are pretty good as well,

Going north from here, I have only done it once, as I recall traffic wasn't great but the Conwy  tunnel makes a cb550 sound absolutely fabulous and even a superdream sounds tasty. One day I want to go through with a cb500 with a more fruity set of pipes than my old motad fitted. Might need earplugs, I can only immagine how seveal sohc honda 4s might sound in that tunnel.
