Title: Rear sprocket plate
Post by: JustcallmeMrT on March 20, 2015, 05:50:19 PM: Hi all, was cleaning up some parts last weekend and came across the rear sprocket plate that was on the bike. It's pretty beat up and was wondering what the purpose of the plate is? Can I run without? Part no. 41211323000

Post by: LesterPiglet on March 20, 2015, 06:04:41 PM: It's to stop the chain getting snarled up if it ever jumps off. I can't see a problem removing it.

I'm pretty sure its needed to keep the seal in place too.

Here's mine - just used a dremel and a drill and then clear coated it.
