Just noticed that my original CB500K0 seat foam has 'Bridgestone 164B02 or is it 164802' printed on it in blue ink plus 323 922A embossed into it. It's definitely a rubber foam compound...you can tell by the smell when you burn it. Bob-The-Seat (Moretti) is currently making me a new foam but I think I will chop decent bits out of the old foam to use on repairs on my CB250's seats. So I guess BS must have been an OEM supplier of the foams to Honda.
Also noticed on my CB750K0 wiring loom that each coloured wire has Sumitomo 1969 printed on them in tiny text.
Other Honda 'subbies' / OEM's I know of are Tec for switches , Hitachi & Nippon Denso for alternators/regulators/Solenoid switches/flasher relays. Riken for piston rings. ART for Pistons, Koyo for bearings, NOK for oil seals, Yuasa for batteries, Nippon Denso/Nippon Seiki/Fuji for clocks.
D.I.D. Chains ..wheel rims , Sankei ..Exhaust Systems, Daido Metal ....Shell bearings, Bridgestone/Nitto/Japanese Dunlop......Tyres, Tokiko .....Hydraulic brake parts, Stanley Electric .... Lighting, ASK .... Brake linings. Neiman ... Euro model locks. Nippon Oil & Fats... candytone paint, KeiHin ...carbs, NGK spart plugs or is it ND or both? Showa ...suspension compents.
Any more anyone?

Can't add to your comprehensive list Ash, but mentioning Dunlop jogged my memory. I bought a brand new VF 750S back in 1983 A474 JJX the shaft drive one called Sabre in US and the tyre label (perhaps on the swing arm or rear footrest hanger) actually said DUNROP. If anyone has an unrestored one I love a pic of that label.

What a good list ash, looks like honda made the frame , cast the engine parts and subbed the rest out , then made final assembly
It reminds me when i was a site manager, We subbed out every part of the building works and i had to tie it all together and make sure it all came together, what an effing head ache that was , glad i dont do that anymore
